Has begun deleting after I save recordings. Many Lectures are now gone! I wont be using it again. I want a refund. Youve caused me to lose irreplaceable data. :.( Would really like ability to point to certain moments in time for later reference.

From the app icon to the whole user interface, this app looks gorgeous. And whats more, it actually works perfectly. It is very simple and straightforward to use. The whole process of recording audio and essentially saving it or deleting it is extremely intuitive and concise. The file repository is clean, uncluttered and well labelled with files sorted neatly into generic date categories (last week, yesterday, today etc) Tap a file and youre taken to the playback screen. Needless to say, all expected transport controls are here together with the now expected audio slider. When it comes to getting files off the phone and onto your mac/pc, the developers offer a free desktop app that does it all for you - even importing you audio files straight into iTunes... Id personally prefer this transfer mode to be less dependant on iTunes, but Im sure that will be an option in a future version. In any case, its not a big issue. If you need to record audio using your iphone look no further. This is the app you want.

I cannot believe those who bought version 1.x have to pay the same as a first time user for version 2.x! That is so lame. Good app, though version 2 seems to have all the features this one lacks.

Finally had to dump this app after many attempts to sync with my desktop failed. Hours of time spent in downloading and re-downloading the software for my desktop. I really liked the app interface and if I didnt need the sync for long meeting minutes, I would still use it. When iPhone added the new recorder into version 3, syncing my meeting minutes through iTunes has worked perfectly.

SpeakEasy was my first iPhone application which means Im not a power user so I just wanted something to record fast notes and/or lectures. The interface is easy to use and understand, performance is reliable and produces high-quality results. Provides plenty of options for saving, deleting, pausing, and transferring to iTunes (via a separate and equally reliable app.) Customer service has been fast and courteous. What more could you ask for? I recommend this app to anyone who needs a straightforward solution to audio recording on the iPhone.

Ive been using this for months, recording my 2 y.o. son as hes learning how to speak. SpeakEasy is brilliant, easy to use, and gives options that Apples new app still falls short of. Being able to name your files and choose size vs. quality, for example. This app has never let me down, and theyve been really great about updating the import program. Im going to keep my eye on these devs, this is quality -- and it was available so long ago too, it pains me to see that Apples new app doesnt quite measure up.

Why is this app still for sale? Please remove. Have had it since it came out. Aways had problems. Now I cant get recordings off my phone. App keeps giving me a big red X saying waiting for itunes back-up. Theres no support. Link to product website goes nowhere. Please remove app!!!

I just purchased this for $1.99 and then received an in app ad for version 2 for $2.99. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time instead of throwing my money away on an old version.

While I think the product is great, you cannot sync recordings to iTunes anymore. So buyer beware.

Not responsive to complaints at all!

This app has always been helpful for my life. Now the zarboo website doesnt exist anymore, and I have no way to get my recordings to my computer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! This app is pointless.

This app isnt what it states it is. Big con and completely no good.

It is absolutely and completely impossible to download the files from the device. The advertised new feature that allows to use WiFi to transfer files to a computer does not work and Zarboos website does not exist!

This application is lousy! I needed to interview soeone and all I had to record was my phone. I downloaded the original version, and I could barely hear the recording. So, I foolishly downloaded the upgrade (which said it had a volume booster), and still couldnt hear anything. What a waste of $7.00.

Ive spent hours painstakingly trying to wirelessly download my recordings, with no luck. Ive tried both the $1.99 and $2.99 versions- sometimes they download partially, sometimes it just wont initiate. The "iTunes version" doesnt open in iTunes. I sold an actual digital voice recorder because I thought this was substitute - wish I had read the reviews first. The interface is nice, but dont buy this app if you dont want your recordings marooned on your phone. Someone should tell Zarboo that "WiFi" downloading isnt cooler than plugging in a cord - especially if it doesnt work.

Just bought this yesterday, worked great for recording a meeting last night, but I cant connect via wifi to get recording to my computer. And no Zarboob website. Should have read the reviews and checked the website -- which is missing -- before buying because wifi is what I wanted most. A plus is that its more friendly than the recorder that comes with the iphone, but not 2 bucks worth, esp with no zarboob to answer questions.

I bought this and then speak easy 2 and neither work. The wifi element isnt functional and never downloads the recordings. So disappointed! This company are making lots of money based on a non functional app and assuming you wont miss a couple of bucks. Shame on you!

I have bought apps before that were not quite as good as I expected and thought " Well, it was only a couple of bucks" This is the first app I ve bought that made me wish I had my money back. Lectures lost, phantom recordings appearing (that have to then be deleted), controls not working, screen freezes, terrible static sound. You name a problem this app had it. Dont waste your two dollars like I did.

Scam!

The company that created this app is nowhere to be found. If you download this software, there is no support for it. (And certainly expect no updates or bug fixes.) You will likely be unable to download recorded files to your computer, as promised.
